Management Team - Food & Beverage Manager

For a limited time, Moccasin Creek is accepting resumes for a top-level management position as the Food & Beverage Manager. This Club leader is responsible for leading the F&B Team and ensuring the highest level of member service. The Food & Beverage Manager works with the Management Team and House Committee to create unique events that appeal to the membership and guests at Moccasin Creek. The ideal candidate would have at least two years of experience in restaurant service and bartending, as well as Hospitality Management.

Culinary Team Member - Assistant Kitchen Manager

Assistant Kitchen Manager Position
 
Looking for an experienced chef or line cook willing to take the next step in their career and join the best kitchen in Aberdeen.
 
Primary Function  
Assist the Executive Chef and in charge of food preparation and proper serving of such foods and sanitation of kitchen.
 
Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Ensure the highest and consistent food quality.  
  2. Work with the Executive Chef to produce diverse menus including but not limited to, weekly features, seasonal menus, breakfast, lunch and party menus.  
  3. Maintain the presentation  standards set by the Executive Chef.  
  4. Assist the Executive Chef in ordering of food and  kitchen supplies.  
Qualifications/Education
High School Diploma, Chef Training through on the job or secondary schooling. 
 
Working Conditions/Physical Demands
Typical commercial food environment that involves lifting items that are hot, cold and at times heavy (50 lbs. or over).  This position requires constant standing and frequent walking including stairs.

Golf Shop Team Members - Golf Shop Assistants

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Promote the game of golf and Moccasin Creek Country Club.
  • Extend hospitality, happiness, and goodwill to all the members and guests of the Club, and fellow team members.
  • Understand the entire operation thoroughly, including Moccasin Creek and Golf Shop Policies & Procedures.
  • Enforce all rules and regulations consistent with Moccasin Creek’s customs and traditions.
  • Ensure that the Standards of Service become an integral part of the culture of the Golf Operations.
  • Lead by example and consistently live by the Motto, Credo, and Service Values as stated in the Standards of Service.
  • Service as a positive role model for fellow team members and junior golfers.
  • Assist the Golf Professionals in the management of day-to-day operations.
  • Act as golf course starter controlling the tee sheet.  Assure the orderly flow of play in accordance with reserved starting times.  Assist members to find starting times and games.
  • Be the first contact members and guests have with the Club; including handling phone calls in a prompt, polite, and courteous manner.
  • Help to coach and promote the junior golf programs.
  • Play with all golf members, including juniors; and improve your own game.
  • Help organize, conduct, and promote all tournaments (member and outside) at Moccasin Creek while using the latest technologies available to provide an outstanding experience for the participants.
  • Assist with marketing and communication of the Club to members, the public, and guests.
  • Assist with merchandising of the Golf Shop.
  • Participate and help to conduct team meetings.
  • Assist with development and training of all team members.
  • Perform starting and marshalling duties.
  • Assist with outside services where needed and help to oversee the Professional Services operation.

Golf Shop Team Members - Service Assistants

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Take care of golfer’s clubs through cleaning, handling, and storage services as outlined.
  • Conduct and ensure proper maintenance of golf cart fleet including charging, cleaning, sand & seed and other duties as outlined.
  • Oversee and undertake all duties required to operate the entire practice facility operation, including picking, cleaning, and distribution of practice balls, hitting area maintenance, and other duties.
  • Help keep cart storage area, bag storage area, practice facility, and outside areas clean and neat along with performing Daily Beautification Lists (DBL’s) and ensuring their accurate execution by all team members.  Audit once a week.
  • Assist with development and training of all new Service Assistant team members.

Volunteer Opportunities

The First Tee of South Dakota depends on volunteers in the Aberdeen area. We operate during the busy summer golf season and offer the opportunity to volunteer in a variety of capacities. If you have 1 hour a week or a month, we need your help!
As an example, if you have limited time we can use your help for two hours once a month! If you live for helping kids and playing golf we can use your assistance any time you are available! Or if you’re a parent of a student and would like to help, we need it! The volunteer opportunities are endless and time commitments are flexible to fit your schedule. Volunteers are needed in all areas at The First Tee of South Dakota to impact the youth of our community!
